Doing too much

Peer bullying is a major issue in many schools across the United States. In this short documentary film by students at Curtiss Middle School in Carson, CA., students explore this topic using three dramatic scenes and share tips for students to seek help when being pressured to “fit in” or when being bullied. There are also tips for parents to help their child navigate the complexities of adolescence.

This film was created during a Young Moviemakers of America (YMA) workshop conducted in the spring of 2024. This film was created “by kids, for kids.”

"If our stories aren't told by us, they aren't told correctly."
