Curtiss Middle School
Behind-the-scenes theater production reveals the dedication and teamwork required to bring student creativity to life. In this observational film by students at Curtiss Middle School in Carson, CA, cameras capture classmates as they write, design, choreograph, stage, and direct their original play “Alien Outbreak.” The documentary follows students through the rehearsal process as they develop their story about friends enjoying time at a pizza parlor when aliens suddenly arrive and disrupt their world, showcasing the collaborative effort needed to transform an idea into a full theatrical production.
This film was created during a film workshop series with Young Moviemakers of America (YMA) during the spring 2025 semester.
