Birney Elementary School
School pride and community celebration take center stage in this uplifting film created by students at Birney Elementary School in Long Beach, CA. Through interviews with staff, teachers, music instructors, parents, and fellow students, young filmmakers showcase the exciting programs and activities that make their campus special, particularly highlighting their vibrant music program and choir. While developing valuable technical filmmaking skills, students successfully captured and shared all the wonderful opportunities and experiences that demonstrate why they love being part of their school community.
This film was created during a film workshop series with Young Moviemakers of America (YMA) during the spring 2025 semester.

The Premiere!
